Welcome to Community Concerts at Second’s 23rd season! We are thrilled to present the outstanding musicians and exciting performances shown here. Our mission is to strengthen and enrich the Baltimore community with free concerts that showcase the finest local, regional and international artists — I think you will agree that the 2009–2010 season resoundingly fulfills that goal.
Community Concerts at Second is a community of music lovers and musicians who believe that:
- Music is a powerful language that inspires and instructs;
- The shared experience of music strengthens our common humanity;
- Musical performances of the highest quality should be available and accessible to all, without charge;
- The development of future generations of performers and audiences must be nurtured and promoted and is essential to the health of our community.
As a volunteer organization offering free musical performances, we rely on musicians and music lovers to help us grow. We ask our audience to share their passion for music and our mission to help us reach out to the broader Baltimore community. We welcome everyone, and we find that this generosity is returned in kind.
